THE LOVE OF DESIGN
My name is Anastasios Tentoglou, my friends call me Tom.
My love for design began in childhood, stretched out on the living room rug, guiding my little green Porsche 911 Hot Wheels toy across the carpet. I would watch the wheels turn slowly, taking in the contours, admiring every detail. To say I “became” a designer isn’t quite right—I have always been one at heart.
I pursued my passion academically, starting at Humber College, where I was granted advanced standing and graduated with honours in Industrial Design. Later, I gained admission to the prestigious Automotive Design Program at CCS in Detroit, earning both advanced standing and the highest scholarship in the institution’s history. Despite these achievements, I ultimately chose to remain in Canada and get married—a decision which, I suspect, might make you smile and shake your head.
My design journey has encompassed both physical and digital realms, from sculpting sports cars and touch-screen kiosks to crafting engaging games and innovative applications.
