BlueDot is the world’s first company to provide real-time actionable intelligence on the emergence and spread potential of infectious diseases serving the global health security market across governments, intelligence agencies, and the private sector.

Experience

At Blue Dot, I was responsible for the end-to-end product design strategy and delivery for a B2B SaaS product. I led and mentored 5+ high-performing UX designers and researchers, fostering a culture of validation and high craft.

Some of my key achievements:

  • Product Strategy: Re-strategize product UX and saved what was an innovative and deeply complex prototype-grade project. As a product this tool was not addressing the pain points clients were truly experiencing. Introduced data visualization to simplify complex data.

  • Product-Led Growth (PLG): Achieved revenue growth of over 500%, ranking 15th on Deloitte Fast 50 list, Vector Institute Top 20 AI Company to Watch, Glory Pro Power 50: Most Impactful Companies, Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies.

  • Design Operations: UX AI integration in an end-to-end, dual-sided Product Design Team (of 5). I was in a “roll my sleeves up” role and highly participatory and supportive in all areas as a servant leader.

  • AI augmented UX: Led research and launched world’s first Generative AI interface for infectious disease surveillance. Led all dual-sided surface experience design, transforming the product from a closed ecosystem to a highly accessible API-first data & insights platform. I was instrumental in introducing the first AI-driven platform for surveilling infectious disease threats around the globe.

  • Customer Retention: Key clients retained, delighted and grown in revenue: Public Health Agency of Canada, Gulf CDC, Taiwan CDC, NATO, Interpol, Air Canada, Clorox, L’Oreal, GSK, Japanese Institute of Infectious Diseases, Government of Australia.
